Last updated: August 2, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Ordo Inc. and its affiliates, including Ordo School Lunch LLC (“Ordo,” “we,” or “us”), collect, use, and share information when you use our websites, mobile applications, ordering platform, and meal services (the “Services”). It applies to parents and guardians, school personnel, and chef partners who use the platform.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. Account details such as your name, email address, and phone number; information about the students you order for, such as name, school, grade or classroom, and any dietary preferences or allergy information you choose to share; order history and balance activity; and communications you send us, including support requests and feedback.

Payment information. Payments are processed by third-party payment processors. We do not store full card numbers or bank credentials; we receive limited details such as card type, last four digits, and transaction confirmations.

Information from schools. Schools we serve may provide roster, enrollment, and meal program information needed to administer their meal service, which may include student names, identifiers, and program eligibility status. We use this information only to provide the Services to the school and as permitted by our agreement with the school and applicable law, including laws protecting student records.

Information collected automatically. When you use the platform, we and our service providers collect device and usage information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and actions taken, including through cookies and similar technologies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide the Services (processing orders and payments, managing balances and refunds, coordinating meal preparation and delivery with schools and chef partners, and providing customer support); to communicate with you about your account and orders; to send promotional messages you can opt out of at any time; to operate our programs in compliance with child nutrition program and other legal requirements; to keep the platform secure and prevent fraud and abuse; and to improve the Services, including through anonymized and aggregated analytics.

3. How We Share Information

With schools. We share order, participation, and account information with your school as needed to administer its meal program.

With chef partners. We share the order details chef partners need to prepare, package, and deliver meals, such as meal selections, quantities, delivery site, and relevant dietary or allergy notes. Chef partners are not permitted to use this information for their own purposes.

With service providers. We use vendors for payment processing, cloud hosting, communications, and analytics, who may process information only to provide services to us.

For legal reasons and business transfers. We may share information to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights and safety, or in connection with a merger, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information with third parties for their own advertising. Student information is never used for marketing.

4. Children's Privacy

The platform is designed for use by adults: parents, guardians, school personnel, and chef partners. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Information about students is provided to us by parents, guardians, and schools, and we use it only to provide meal services. If you believe a child has provided us personal information directly, contact us and we will delete it.

5. Data Retention and Security

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations (including child nutrition program recordkeeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce agreements, after which it is deleted or anonymized. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, though no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You can access and update your account information at any time in your account settings, opt out of promotional emails and texts using the instructions in those messages, and close your account and request deletion in your account settings or by contacting support. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, such as the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, which you can exercise by contacting us at legal@ordoschools.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
