Serving meals in multiple schools across the country for Spring Education Group

Spring Education Group is a renowned network of private schools with over 300 campuses across the country. As a pioneer in private schools, a leader in STEM education, and an overall fantastic academic institution, they had a high bar for quality when it came to selecting a meal service vendor for their schools.

Spring Education Group had a unique challenge in providing meals for students across multiple states from California to Texas. They needed to manage both clusters of campuses close to each other and far flung, rural ones.

When their CEO met with Ordo’s CEO, it was the summer. They had less than a couple of months to figure out meal service for their schools–it was crunch time. Ordo’s team got to work, and within 4 weeks Ordo was live in multiple states before the first day of school in August.

To date, Ordo has provided excellent service to Spring’s schools. They brought great variety to their menu, with over 5 fresh food options to choose from per day for students and over 40 in a given month. At select schools, Spring needed passout services, which Ordo was able to provide and assist them with staffing. One school had a lot of demand for organic options, and Ordo and its chefs crafted a fully certified organic menu for their campus. The company even partnered with local pizzerias to provide periodic pizza days for students.

With Ordo’s software, individual campuses could manage their ordering while allowing Spring Education Group visibility into their various schools’ participation rates and operations. In a survey conducted at the end of the 2023-2024 school year, students at one Spring Education Group school rated their experience with Ordo’s platform 4 out of 5.
